Baptism at The Well

Is Baptism Your Next Step?
Life is full of next steps, each one bringing us closer to the God who created us and loves us. If you’ve made the decision to follow Christ, one of the most valuable next steps you can take is baptism.
What is baptism all about?
In Matthew 3, Jesus chose to get baptized before starting His ministry here on Earth. When we make that same choice, we’re living how Jesus lived. Later, in Matthew 28, Jesus told His followers to go and baptize others. As we get baptized and baptize others, Jesus’ message of love spreads around the world.
When we go down into the water, we’re reminded of Jesus’ death on the cross and how His sacrifice covered our sins. When we come out of the water, we’re reminded that three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death and securing eternal life for us. Baptism is a symbol—not just for us, but for our friends and family as well—that the old is gone and the new has come.
When you make a life-changing decision, you want to tell everyone about it! Baptism is an opportunity for you to celebrate with your friends and family and tell others about the hope you’ve found in Jesus.
What Does Baptism Look Like at The Well?
Our service lasts one hour, and baptisms usually happen toward the end of the service, during worship.
If you sign up to be baptized, we will reach out and tell you when to arrive at church and any other details you need to know.
When you arrive, we’ll walk you through getting in and out of the baptism pool.
You’ll be guided throughout the entire process, and we’re available to answer any questions you have.
